Reality Check – A one-off project from Freddy Turner & Jason Hernandez who dropped this soulful, street-tough slice of House on Strictly Rhythm back in 1998. This is one of those hidden gems, tucked away in the recesses of the Strictly catalogue, so it may well have slipped by under the radar save for a few dedicated heads and vinyl junkies! It’s got THAT NYC sound, hard drums, vocal samples, tripped out loops and stabs. Perfect DJ material if you’re into the funked out stripped back House sounds of the mid to late 90’s, this one will certainly be (in) your bag. ‘Fantasy’ has been given some tasty 2017 remastering treatment and repressed onto a high quality, weighty 12″ for all you fiends out there, this one will keep them moving in the mix. Perfect NYC House sounds here, untouched and represented in it’s original 1998 form, no sleeping permitted!
